ENHYPEN’s Jungwon took to Weverse on December 12 to correct the record regarding the dating rumors about him and aespa’s Winter.
In the live broadcast, the idol spoke candidly with fans, assuring them that the dating rumors, as well as smoking allegations, were not true.
“In the comments, people are asking if I’m dating and no, I am not dating,” he said.
“Some people said something about me smoking but I don’t smoke either. I don’t know how the people who posted these [allegations] would handle the consequences but I am not dating and I don’t smoke.”
Dating rumors were sparked when Jungwon and Winter were spotted together in a Chungdam bar.
While the two weren’t photographed in the same frame, a witness claimed that the two were together the entire time.
In the pictures, Winter is seen leaving the bar first, with the male idol following after a while.
The alleged date happened in October. Around the same time, a few witnesses also allegedly spotted Jungwon in the same jacket walking around in Yongsan around 2:30 a.m.
Fans have speculated that it may have been a friendly hang-out since the idols are labelmates under SM Entertainment.
Others believe that since ENHYPEN had been working around the clock for promotion, the idol would not have the time to date.
ENHYPEN released their second studio repackage album ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream on November 11.
The group will soon be gearing up for the Asia leg of their world tour, with stops in the Philippines, Bangkok, and the Coachella Music Festival.
