I saw some fans saying that Suga is BTS’ main producer and that BTS can’t release songs without him because he produces BTS’ songs. I’m really sorry but I have to bring up RM in some parts. If we’re going to talk about Suga in terms of producing, we have to talk about RM as well.
Firstly, look at this picture. There’s no detailed information about album composers on Namuwiki and the Korean Wikipedia, so I have to upload it in English.
Song credits increase based on contribution. The main producer or main composer/lyricist’s name always comes first. The other contributors? We have no way of knowing how much they actually participate. We can only guess.
Below are BTS’ song composers and producers. I didn’t add Japanese albums, but Japanese credits aren’t different from Korean album credits. The main producer is always Pdogg.
Pdogg’s name = yellow, Suga’s name = purple
– Out of all of BTS’ songs, Suga is the main producer for only 4 songs: “Let Me Know” “Interlude: Shadow” “Tomorrow “Jump”
– Out of all BTS’ songs, Suga only participated in producing 3 songs: “First Love” “Respect” “Skit”

Have you ever thought about why RM has more copyrights than IU and GD, and those copyrighted songs were streamed 3-4 times more than IU and GD’s, and sold 6 million times more albums in 2022, but they are not in the top 10 in copyright income? Isn’t that weird?

That song was claimed to be a self-produced solng, but when the Jim Jones controversy arose, HYBE quickly added another producer and songwriter to the credits, and they clarified that the controversial parts were made by the other producer, not Suga.

Conclusion: Suga can produce, yes, but his share within BTS is absolutely not as HYBE promotes him, and is in fact minimal.
