G-Dragon Credited As Composer of BABYMONSTER’s Comeback Title Track

Ahead of the release of their full album, BABYMONSTER further teased MONSTIEZ by revealing their tracklist. And immediately, K-pop fans noticed a monumental name credited as the composer of the rookie’s title song: G-Dragon!

BABYMONSTER’s forthcoming first full-length album is slated for release on November 1. It has a total of nine songs—”CLIK CLAK,” “DRIP,” “Love, Maybe,” “Really Like You,” “BILLIONAIRE,” “Love In My Heart,” “Woke Up In Tokyo,” “FOREVER,” and “BATTER UP” (Remix).

The title track of the same name is where the “K-pop King” is credited as one of the composers, alongside Sandra Wikstrom, AiRPLAY, and Iljun.

It isn’t new for G-Dragon to compose a song. In fact, he has done so for his group BIGBANG, his solos, co-members, as well as songs where he featured.

But it’s rare for him to make tracks for other artists, with BABYMONSTER being only the third after 2NE1 and iKON in his entire career.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG is reportedly set to perform at the forthcoming 2024 MAMA Awards. According to news agencies, the current members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung will make their comeback to the MAMA stage.

Shortly after, MNET released a statement to address the announcement.

“The lineup of artists attending the 2024 MAMA Awards has not yet been decided,” the network said.

Attention is now focused on whether the trio will confirm the initial reports and once again perform for the MAMA spectators, following their last appearance at the ceremony in 2015.
