In the upcoming episode 9 of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “When The Phone Rings,” Hong Hee-joo (played by Chae Soo-bin) visits Baek Ui-yong (played by Yoo Seong-ju) and Shim Gyu-jin (played by Choo Sang-mi).
In the previous episode, Hee-joo and Baek Sa-eon (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) resolved their misunderstandings and confirmed their feelings for each other. However, the kidnapper (played by Park Jae-yoon) closed in on them, raising the tension.
Sa-eon, who had been chasing the kidnapper, received a message from fishing site manager Jeong Sang-hoon (played by Kim Jun-bae) saying, “He’s still alive” and rushed to the fishing spot.
However, by the time he arrived, it was already engulfed in flames, and Sa-eon lost consciousness while trying to save Sang-hoon. At the same time, Hee-joo learned a shocking secret from her step-sister Hong In-ah (played by Han Jae-i): Sa-eon was not from the Baek family.
