Regarding this, Soyeon, who is also their executive and main producer, addressed inquiries on how their line distribution works.

As the one in charge of almost everything, Soyeon faced criticism for alleged unfair treatment to her co-members, whether in giving them the “killing part,” or “center” role, and who should have the most lines.

According to some, it’s frustrating that she is always given the highlight or more parts, accusing her of trying to steal the spotlight from other members.

To make it convenient for her, Soyeon then established 3 ways how to divide parts among members, starting with the conventional one.

Under this, the singer-songwriter and producer would give lines that “match well with a member. She explained how she would usually make a line with a certain member in mind.

As their popularity continues to skyrocket and expectations for them also increase in their 7th year, Soyeon has decided to make another approach in distributing lines which is to give members lines that will make them step out of their comfort zones.

“I want to make changes now. So I looked at a part and thought, ‘I wish she would try this part and share like that this time.”
