The latest episode of MBC entertainment program ‘Radio Star’, which aired on September 18th, was guested by Kim Chang-ok, Solbi, Hwasa, Lee Moo-jin, and Park Seo-jin.
Hwasa came on Radio Star for the first time in a year. When asked why she came on the show, she said honestly, “I made a comeback.”
Hwasa said, “Psy oppa says there’s a Radio Star Jinx. During ‘Gangnam Style,’ his armpit sweated too much and the song was a hit. That’s why he tells me to appear in ‘Radio Star’ whenever I make a comeback.”
Host Kim Gu-ra also mentioned Psy, the CEO of her agency, to Hwasa, and asked, “Is there a conflict of opinion between you two? I think you two get along well?” and Hwasa said, “There is no conflict of opinion. Psy speaks out first and it is exactly what I think in my head. If there is a conflict, I will tell him my honest thoughts.”
Hwasa added, “There were a lot of songs for me to choose as the title. But I felt they were still lacking something, so I decided to refused them all. When I said that they lacked something, they (the company) immediately agreed.”
According to Hwasa, the title song “NA” was a bit disappointing at first. Hwasa said, “I liked it, but when I said it was missing something, they replaced the whole melody the next day and played it for me. They are so dedicated.”
