HYBE Lifted Copyright Claims on BTS’s V’s Fancam after Fans’ Angry Demands

Previously on September 5, fans of BTS’s V started to trend hashtags like “HYBE TREAT TAEHYUNG EQUALLY” and “HYBE RESPECT TAEHYUNG” on the SNS platform X (formerly Twitter).

These hashtags stemmed from the fact that HYBE filed copyright claims and removed various fancams of BTS’s V with millions of views, while still leaving similar fancams of other BTS members, leading to suspicions of mistreatment.

In the end, the hashtags garnered over 65,000 posts within less than a day, and it seems that HYBE have finally taken action against this.

In particular, as of September 6, the copyright claim on several fancams of BTS’s V was retracted, and the videos can be accessed again.

However, as some more viewed videos were still taken down, fans are still trending the aforementioned hashtags and even emailing HYBE to demand for more prompt actions.
