HYBE Responds To NewJeans’ Request To Reinstate Min Hee Jin as CEO of ADOR

HYBE has responded to the injunction request for Min Hee Jin’s reinstatement as CEO of ADOR. The update came after NewJeans personally held a live broadcast on YouTube to demand Min Hee Jin’s return, as well as the original environment and dynamic of ADOR.

Earlier on September 11, NewJeans gave HYBE a deadline to reinstate Min Hee Jin’s role as ADOR CEO. The quintet requested the multi-label re-appoint Min Hee Jin by September 25.

On September 14, Korean news outlet TenAsia shared an exclusive report detailing HYBE’s rejection of the request.

Read HYBE’s statement below:

“Once concluded, the agreement will cease to be effective upon termination.

To acquire legal confirmation of this matter, a ‘lawsuit for confirmation of the shareholders’ termination’ agreement has been filed, and we can patiently wait for legal judgment. Min Hee Jin’s dismissal was an independent decision by ADOR’s board of directors.

It has nothing to do with HYBE or the shareholders’ agreement. We regret that Min Hee Jin, who has emphasized the importance of independent management as a separate company, failed to comply with the decision of the board of directors.”
