On October 11, at Samcheonggak in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, singer HyunA married fellow artist Yong Jun Hyung.
The wedding of the couple was a significant event, as it happened nine months after their relationship gained public recognition. Still, what makes it especially noteworthy is the unconventional nature of the event.
The bride wore quite a remarkable mini-wedding dress, which seemed an appropriate choice for the artist famous for bold fashion. It had been paired with red flat shoes and brown hippie waves.
The groom, in his turn, looked classy in the strict white tuxedo jacket. The wedding hall was decorated with beautifully arranged tables and lanterns, which added charm to the atmosphere.
The guests included HyunA’s friend to TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho and broadcaster Hong Suk-cheon. The wedding was a very emotional event, with both the groom and the bride crying during a friend’s congratulatory speech.
Another event guest, singer Uhm Jung-hwa, shared HyunA’s entrance video and added some sincere warm words, wishing her to be happy.
Meanwhile, there was a particularly intriguing detail of the event as Jo Kwon, who previously unfollowed HyunA on social media, thus making news headlines about their alleged falling out, was spotted hugging her.
Jo Kwon then stated that they had been friends for fifteen years and that it was only natural for him to come.
The couple first confirmed their relationship in January 2024 when they posted some photos together. Six months of the public relationship later, in July, HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung announced their engagement.
