After the court dismissed her injunction to be reinstated as ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee Jin called out HYBE for wasting the “chance” she gave them. In return, she is expected to do this.
Since April, HYBE and Min Hee Jin has been infighting after the former accused her of breaching trust. In August, her CEO role was taken from her, but through a live stream, NewJeans protested against the company’s decision to reinstate Min.
However, on October 29, the 50th Civil Court Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Sang Hoon) dismissed Min’s injunction and refused to reinstate her as ADOR’s CEO.
On the same day, Min appeared on popular music critic Kim Young Dae’s new YouTube channel launch, which coincided with the 2nd year since NewJeans’ fandom got their official name, Bunnies.
“Today is Bunnies’ birthday. They gave me several dates, but I chose this date because I thought it would be special, but I didn’t know the injunction would come down today.”
Here, Min Hee Jin revealed that she filed the injunction with a small hope of winning, but in her mind, she decided to give HYBE the benefit of the doubt that they would give up.
She explained:
“(This lawsuit) is unprecedented, so I thought my chances of winning were around 10-20%. From my perspective, I was giving HYBE another chance. I thought that if I could be defeated even once like this, they might be able to accept things that they couldn’t because of their pride, and I would be able to prove my innocence.”
But Min Hee Jin will not back down now and claimed that HYBE made up all lies to accuse her of things with zero basis, saying:
“Who spends money to do this? I’m doing this because I’m crazy. No one can do what I do. I have to prove my innocence because I was falsely accused of a lie from the beginning.”
