ILLIT: “We’ll Show You Our Unique Color”

On October 21st, a showcase celebrating the release of ILLIT’s (Minju, Yuna, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) second mini-album “I’LL LIKE YOU” was held at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The album contains a total of 5 tracks, including the title track “Cherish,” as well as “I’LL LIKE YOU,” “IYKYK (If You Know You Know),” “Pimple,” and “Tick-Tack.”

The title track “Cherish” is a song that highlights ILLIT’s honest and bold charm. It’s a dance-pop genre featuring an addictive chorus and the members’ clear vocals, reflecting the mindset of teenagers who are content with liking someone.

When being asked how they felt about the external turbulence surrounding them, including plagiarism and live performance controversies, Yuna said, “We prepared for the comeback thinking about our fans who support ILLIT completely in any situation. When we had our team’s first anniversary, we thought a lot about those who helped us grow, and we once again felt their unchanging love. We decided to show more of our unique color to protect those who support ILLIT.”

Regarding the live performance skills controversy that arose early in their debut, Iroha confidently stated, “We took in the opinions of many people, and to show a good image, we checked the details of our live performances and put in a lot of effort. We will continue to show you a growing ILLIT.”

Yuna added, “While preparing for our second mini-album, we performed on various stages including overseas concerts and university festivals. Not only did we prepare diligently, but these diverse experiences also became the foundation for our growth.”

ILLIT’s new album is set to be released on various music sites at 6 PM on October 21st.
