This shows that “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” has maintained steady popularity despite fierce competition among numerous dramas.

Set in the post-Korean War era of the 1950s, “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” follows the story of its protagonist Yoon Jeong-nyeon, who aspires to become a Korean traditional opera (gukgeuk) star. The drama’s unique focus on “female gukgeuk” has captivated viewers, and its solid storyline has received widespread praise. Kim Tae-ri’s portrayal of Yoon Jeong-nyeon further emphasizes her acting skills, adding depth to the drama’s appeal.

In this survey, “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” achieved high scores across various categories, including VON (Voice of Netizen), SNS, video and cast, and has established itself as the most-searched drama on portal sites. “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” also took the top spot in the drama brand reputation survey. In the November brand reputation big data analysis, “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” ranked first. The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed factors such as consumer participation, communication volume, media consumption and brand spread for dramas, and announced that “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” scored high across these metrics. “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born”’s brand reputation index was analyzed to be 12,088,139, standing out in multiple indicators including participation, media, communication, community and viewership indexes.

“Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” holds an important position not only in Korea but also in the K-content market. The drama is available on Disney+, and according to a recent release by the global OTT content ranking service FlixPatrol, “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” ranked sixth in Disney+’s global TV show category as of Nov 5th. It also topped the TV show rankings in countries/regions such as Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong.
