Singer BoA has opened up about her feelings.
On the morning of the 15th, BoA shared a heartfelt post on Weverse, beginning with:
“Hello, this is BoA. Over the past few years, I’ve gone through tough times not only in my work but also in my personal life.”
She continued, “Even so, I believed I was doing my best, running forward with all I had. But I started to think that maybe, to some people, the way I kept going might have felt uncomfortable.
In the past, I believed that if I just worked hard at what I was told to do, things would get better.”
“But as the world changed, and I changed too, and all those changes came at once, I found myself constantly questioning, ‘Is this really the place where I belong?’” she shared.
“Even so, the reason I couldn’t let go of music is because if I lost music, it would feel like my entire life was collapsing. That’s why, in whatever way or form, I wanted to stay connected to you through music.
Even in moments when I felt like I had completely fallen apart and couldn’t get back up again, music—and all of you—were still there.”
BoA added, “I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to stand on stage. You’re all getting older, and so am I. But I truly believe there’s still a burning potential in all of our hearts. I want to try and bring that strength back out together with you.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s always believed in me, worried about me, and quietly supported me.
Because of you, I’m still BoA today.”
Previously, on April 5, BoA caused controversy during an Instagram live broadcast held while drinking at Jun Hyunmoo’s house. During the livestream, she shared her thoughts on the rumored relationship between Jun Hyunmoo and Park Narae, which sparked backlash.
