[instiz] CARDI B’S RACIST CONTROVERSY BROKE

When asked whose dress she was wearing, she just said “They’re Asian and everything”

When asked who the dress was from, she answered “Asian and everything,” probably because she forgot the designer’s name.

Twitter and Instagram are also criticizing her for being mannerless and that if the situation was reversed and if an Asian had said “black and everything,” they would’ve been cancelled.

As it is a big event in the fashion world, the promotional effect [for the designer] is enormous.

It’s natural to ask who is the designer of the Met Gala.

The actual dress brand

The designer’s name is Sensen Lii

original post: here

1. Disappointing

2. She loves Korean food and Asia, I feel like this was genuine tongue slip

3. Cardi B freaking loves Korean food ㅋㅋㅋ And she also releases a lot of Korean related stuff on her IG and even did collab with Korean singers… Rather than her hating Asians, I just think her personality is a bit oblivious in general

4. Wow the people shielding her are f*cking hilariousㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. I don’t care if she likes Asians or not, but that comment was definitely wrong

6. Honestly, seeing how she usually promotes Korean food and says she likes it, I’m pretty sure she didn’t have any bad intentions behind it. But the fact that she didn’t even know her designer is annoying

And if she knew and decided to not say it is even more problematic, I can’t say that she did it with racist intent, but all I’m going to say is that black people will trip over the slightest things and if this was said on a black person, they would’ve been murdered already

7. Meongryang hot dog confiscated, Kimchi confiscated, Buldak confiscated

8. Rather than being racist, I think she’s just problematic… How do you not know the designer who designed your own clothes

9. She literally just couldn’t remember the name of the designer and she even knows that it’s from an Asian. This is such a forced hate

10. And if we say “it’s from someone black” we would be murdered on sight
