On the afternoon of Oct 15th, a press conference was held at the Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of ITZY’s new mini album “GOLD”.
Members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna were present at the event.
During the event, announcer Kim Min-jung introduced ITZY, and the group took the stage to greet everyone.
ITZY is returning with their new album about nine months after their last release “BORN TO BE”. This time, Lia, who had been on hiatus for health reasons for a year, has rejoined the group, allowing them to promote as a whole.
Yeji expressed her joy at having all five members together, “I’m glad we can greet you as five. We are excited and looking forward to this comeback because we prepared hard for it.” She added, “It’s a new feeling to be able to show our charms again as five members. We also hope to present great performances that show our readiness.”
Lia warmly greeted everyone, “I could stand here looking good because many people, including fans and other members, believed in and waited for me.” She continued, “Since this is our first time showing ourselves in a while, I thought we should come back even more prepared, so I worked hard. I’m excited.”
ITZY’s new album “GOLD” is based on the theme “Our World is still different”, capturing ITZY’s stories and music. They are presenting a new charm with double title tracks for their full-group comeback.
The title track, also named “GOLD”, features a listening point with powerful vocal shouts over intense electric guitar rock sounds. The other title track, “Imaginary Friend”, maximizes listeners’ imagination with sweet vocal harmonies and emotional lyrics.
Meanwhile, ITZY’s new mini album “GOLD” will be officially released today (Oct 15th) at 6 PM. They will hold a countdown live event at 5 PM on the same day to communicate with fans.
