For fans of celebrity couple IU and Lee Jong Suk, it has been a week full of juicy updates as the two stars made career announcements on the same line.

Lee Jong Suk is slated to return soon to the upcoming tvN drama Seocho-dong, while IU continues to make headlines with showcase records and prepares for her long-awaited Netflix series, You Did Great.
With her soulful vocals and dynamic acting skills, IU has been steadily growing her career. During her September concert “HEREH” at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the female solo artist drew 23,000 members of the audience in Korea to set a record for the largest-ever attendance.

Aside from that, her new series, You Did Great with Park Bo Gum is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in early 2025.
Set in 1950s Jeju, the series follows two characters, Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, over four seasons through the ups and downs of life, with expectations for similar energy from IU paired with Park.
On the other hand, Lee Jong Suk, who received much attention through Big Mouth, will appear on Seocho-dong as an experienced lawyer.

Set in the legal district of Seoul, this legal drama is about the lives of associate lawyers.
Active lawyer-turned-writer Lee is expected to provide a more realistic view of the profession. In his role as Ahn Joo-hyung, he is described as possessing “sharp logic and a direct manner of speaking,” presenting a fresh take on the lawyer character compared to his previous role.

IU and Lee Jong-suk are both stealing fans’ hearts in the new year ahead, even after making their relationship public last December 2022, as they support each other’s success.
IU further cemented this belief by performing at Lee Jong-suk’s sister’s wedding in early October.
