Over the years, I’ve documented a lot of insane IU hate from netizens, both Korean and international. Due to the fact that she’s popular across the board and known nationally, she always draws a higher percentage of the truly deranged, including political crazies like those that push the wackiest conspiracies and what not.
As a result, this is always seemingly retweeted.

There’s a lot of stuff I have to get current on, though with the current political turmoil in Korea and economic mess in America (along with my spinal issues and baseball starting to get busy), I’ve been getting behind. Yet, I just want to briefly highlight and mock the current conspiracies being spread about IU.
While there’s other “controversies” trying to be relitigated as a part of this witch-hunt attempt, in particular it’s the spread of a conspiracy that’s new to me that’s particularly remarkable.
It starts with IU supposedly mocking some person named Heo Hyesun, who used to “expose” IU, but suddenly she disappeared and went missing. The conspiracy starts by believing that IU mocked her death in the “SHH” music video and hinted that she had her whacked.

Both have a common point – a trunk and a woman. It feels like it’s showing how the d**th occurred…
Because they’re all class, they also infer that she was involved in the death of Sulli and Hara.

Remarkably? That’s just the start. They claim this Heo Hyesun person was mind controlled after a while, which of course requires a larger conspiracy to “validate”, which leads to claims that IU is a part of the Illuminati, that she’s a first-class North Korean spy with Chinese and/or Southeast Asian roots (because those people are bad automatically to them, I guess?), and related to a conspiracy that a shadow pope is in charge of the entire world. There’s also the “usual” stuff like claiming “Strawberry Moon” was supposed to depict a tribute to human sacrifice, that she is going around causing controversies for all her competition, and more.
Anyway, I know Pann, Pann Choa (basically now the old Netizen Buzz audience, and the people there will continue to post about it (and some will “just ask questions”, I’m sure), but if you wanted to know if there’s any reason to pay attention to it other than as a darkly comedic sideshow and/or a sad reflection on how deeply people can fall down these holes and let it consume their lives, well … there you have it, I guess.
