On December 27th (KST), the 9th Asia Artist Awards (hereafter referred to as ‘2024 AAA’) was held. The event was hosted by actor Ryu Jun-yeol, IVE’s Jang Won-young, and ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han-bin.

Holding the trophy, Jang Da-ah shared her thoughts, saying, “I’m happy to stand before respected seniors and viewers. I want to thank my dad and mom, whom I love and respect the most in the world, for raising me. I’m also grateful to everyone who loved ‘Pyramid Game’.”
The actress then expressed gratitude towards the series’ director, writer, production team, and staff members.
“I know this award is still too much for me, so I’ll strive to grow internally and become a mature person. I hope everyone has a healthy end to the year”, she added.
After her speech, when MC Ryu Jun-yeol asked Jang Won-young about presenting the award to her older sister, the latter replied, “I’m so happy to personally give such a meaningful award to my sister. I think our parents must be watching proudly and happily.”
Meanwhile, during an interview after the conclusion of “Pyramid Game”, Jang Da-ah had previously shown a cool attitude when asked about her younger sister, Jang Won-young.
At the time, Jang Da-ah commented, “When I said I wanted to act, my sister probably thought it was just another job I was pursuing and didn’t pay much attention. I don’t give much feedback either, so we both work hard independently while silently cheering for each other.”
She added, “Even though we’re in the same field, we don’t rely on each other and instead manage our own responsibilities.”
Due to their cool attitudes toward each other, some made speculations about their relationship. However, Jang Da-ah emphasized with a laugh, “That’s not the case at all.”
