On the 2nd, an interview video with Jang Wonyoung was uploaded to Vogue Korea’s official YouTube channel. First, Wonyoung reviewed the photoshoot she did with Vogue, noting, “It was a memorable day because we styled my hair differently from usual and tried various looks.”
Next, she commented on photos taken during a music broadcast, explaining, “At that time, the concept was magical girl, so I was thinking about what hairstyle to choose. I ended up with a look reminiscent of Sailor Moon, so I did pigtails with my stylist.” She also discussed the importance of styling on stage: “When performing the same song multiple times, there are changes in outfit style and hair and makeup. Since hair changes are the most noticeable, I often try to make it look different.”
Regarding a photo posted on social media, she explained, “It was taken while I was in London. Normally, I let my hair down, but that day it was windy, so I quickly styled it into a low bun.” When asked about her usual fashion style, she said, “I dress in various ways—sometimes lovely, sometimes casual.”
On her post-work routine, she shared, “After finishing my schedule and coming home, I usually take a shower. Since I often change my hairstyle, my scalp gets tired, so I’m diligent about scalp care. I used to shampoo immediately, but now I comb my hair before shampooing to help remove impurities from my scalp. So, I have a routine of combing my hair before showering.”
Finally, as the founder of “Wonyoung-style thinking,” she shared her unique method for having a “lucky day”: “If you appreciate and find beauty in even the smallest things, you can have a lucky and beautiful day.”
