Jennie Tops October Girl Group Individual Brand Reputation Rankings, Surpassing Karina and Jang Wonyoung

According to the results of the October Girl Group Individual Brand Reputation analysis, released by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute on October 20, BLACKPINK’s Jennie took the top spot, followed by aespa’s Karina in second place and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung in third.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 135,672,895 pieces of big data from September 20 to October 20 for the analysis of the brand reputation of 680 individual girl group members. They used consumer behavior analysis to generate the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the 100,242,961 pieces of data analyzed in September, this was a 35.34% increase.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, identifying how consumers’ online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The analysis measures the positive and negative evaluations, media attention, consumer interest, and communication volume related to individual girl group members. It also includes an assessment of brand value to gauge brand influence.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who ranked first, had a participation index of 2,428,883, a media index of 3,383,206, a communication index of 3,647,643, and a community index of 4,711,735, totaling a brand reputation index of 14,171,467. This represents a 409.24% increase compared to her September brand reputation index of 2,782,844.

The head of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Koo Chang-hwan, said, “According to the October 2024 analysis of the Girl Group Individual Brand Reputation big data, BLACKPINK’s Jennie ranked first. Compared to the September Girl Group Individual Brand big data, there was a 35.34% increase. More detailed analysis shows a 13.53% increase in brand consumption, a 22.96% increase in brand issues, a 48.83% increase in brand communication, and a 41.56% increase in brand spread.”

He continued, “The brand analysis of BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who ranked first in October, showed high results for the keywords ‘comeback,’ ‘prove,’ and ‘sexy’ in link analysis, while ‘Mantra,’ ‘LA,’ and ‘BLACKPINK‘ appeared prominently in keyword analysis. The positive-negative ratio analysis showed a 92.07% positive sentiment.”
