A video titled “STAYC’s Secret?! TWICE’s Jeongyeon Spills It All (First-Ever Dorm Reveal)” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Inspector”.
In the video, the group STAYC appeared as guests, showing great chemistry with TWICE’s Jeongyeon.
Jeongyeon mentioned “Hey, there was a JYP trainee among you, right?” and told J, “I don’t think our trainee periods overlapped.”
They also talked about their common link—producer Rado. STAYC asked, “Did you have any behind-the-scenes stories while recording with him?” Jeongyeon responded, “How is he? Is he still really… a bit full-on?” STAYC said, “He really tries to make the atmosphere comfortable.” To that, Jeongyeon replied “Really? He must act different“, revealing her feelings of disappointment.
Jeongyeon asked, “Since he’s your boss… He was really tough on us. The atmosphere was intense. How long did each person record?” STAYC revealed “Now, for us, if it’s quick, 30 minutes. If it takes long, like an hour?“, shocking Jeongyeon.
Surprised, Jeongyeon said, “Maybe it’s because you guys are so good. There was a time we took 4 hours on a single line.” STAYC shared, “We think we heard about that from producer Rado.”
Jeongyeon recalled, “In TWICE’s ‘TT’, for the ‘Phone bell rings like every other day’, it took Nayeon 4 hours to record it.”
STAYC shared, “Since he gives us really precise directions, we got so used to that. So now, when working with other composers, they’re like, ‘Just do it’, ‘Do it comfortably.’ And we get so lost when they do that. We thought, ‘Rado really brings out the best of our strengths.’“
Listening to this, Jeongyeon humorously lamented “I’m totally disappointed! That he acts differently to others“, making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, Jeongyeon debuted with TWICE on October 20, 2015.
