Jessi’s Entourage Allegedly Assaults Fan After Photo Request, Agency Claims Attacker is Unknown

On October 11, JTBC’s news program “Crime Chief” aired a report from a fan who claimed to have been attacked by Jessi‘s entourage after asking for a photo.

The incident occurred on the 29th of last month when a longtime fan of Jessi spotted her in a back alley and politely requested a photo. Jessi declined, “I’m sorry,” and the fan stepped back. However, a man from Jessi’s group allegedly blocked the fan, shouting insults, while another man suddenly struck the fan in the face.

The victim reported that the attack was unexpected and they couldn’t escape due to fear. Although Jessi initially seemed to intervene, she eventually left the scene, leading to the fan’s disappointment.

After the incident, the victim reported it to the police, but Jessi and her group had already left. The victim and police searched for nearly an hour before finding Jessi at a nearby bar, but the attacker was absent. When questioned, Jessi and her agency denied any connection to the attacker, stating he was an unknown individual.

Jessi’s agency later clarified that the attacker was just a friend of a producer and not connected to Jessi. They mentioned they would consider compensation ethically if a relationship with the victim was acknowledged.

The victim claims the attacker was a foreigner of Chinese nationality. After the incident, the victim’s mother visited Jessi’s agency to lodge a complaint, but the agency denied any connection and provided no further response. The victim expressed frustration at the lack of clear answers from both the police and the agency.

The police plan to question the producer linked to Jessi to locate the attacker. Jessi’s agency stated that the attacker must be punished and pledged cooperation with the police.
