Earlier today someone on X did research to see if only Jimin’s “Who” US streams on Spotify were abnormal but to no one’s surprise it wasn’t US specific.
Jimin’s fans have always botted his numbers since 2020. It only got progressively worse with his official debut with Like Crazy in March 2023 and more intense with Who in July 2024.
His fans have tried defending this with another streaming platform but can’t explain why he’s not charting in many countries city charts.
The best way to gage his botting is with the fact that the song isn’t generating high profits despite the huge streaming.
Spotify needs a serious overhaul to prevent fraudulent streams like this. But the main takeaway is BTS’ reputation and achievements are being called into question because of Jimin’s fans rigging the system.
