Jo Bo-ah made her first public appearance after her marriage at a press conference for Disney+’s new original series “Knock-Off”, held on November 21 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in Singapore. Jo Bo-ah, who married a non-celebrity husband in a private ceremony at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on October 12, postponed her honeymoon to focus on filming the series.
At the event, Jo Bo-ah introduced her character, Hye-jeong, saying, “Hye-jeong is Kim Seong-jun’s first love, but later becomes involved in counterfeit goods enforcement as a public servant. While she starts as his first love, their relationship eventually turns antagonistic.” She added, “The series reflects modern Korean history from the 1990s and 2000s, and it’s an honor to have it air on Disney+. I hope for much love and support from the audience.”
“Knock-Off” tells the story of a man whose life is dramatically altered by the IMF crisis, going from an ordinary office worker to the king of the global counterfeit market. The series, directed by Park Hyun-seok (Stranger 2) and written by Han Jung-hoon (Bad Guys), stars Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah.
The 18-episode series will be released in two parts: 9 episodes in the first half of 2025 and the remaining 9 episodes in the second half, exclusively on Disney+.
