Jung Eun-ji and Lee Jun-young are set to inspire viewers as they lead the cast of KBS2’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama 24-Hour Health Club, a story about personal transformation, laughter, and second chances through fitness.
Jung Eun-ji and Lee Jun-young’s New Drama “24-Hour Health Club”
At the drama’s production presentation on April 29 in Sindorim, Seoul, director Park Joon-soo and actors Jung Eun-ji, Lee Jun-young, Lee Mi-do, Lee Seung-woo, Park Sung-yeon, Lee Ji-hye, and Hong Yoon-hwa gathered to share insights about their new project.

24-Hour Health Club centers on Do Hyun-jung (Lee Jun-young), a fiercely passionate gym owner, and Im Mi-ran (Jung Eun-ji), a beginner who joins the gym after a breakup. Through their fitness journey, they — along with other colorful characters — find new hope and strength.
Lee Jun-young revealed his intense preparations for the role, “I ate five meals a day to bulk up and had to completely adjust my workout routine. Preparing for this role showed me just how tough the life of a real bodybuilder is. Now, exercising makes me genuinely happy—I no longer fear it.”

Meanwhile, Jung Eun-ji shared her personal connection to fitness through her character, “I started working out because of a herniated disc. Overcoming my back issues helped me land the role of Mi-ran. This role made me love fitness even more, and I hope viewers can feel that sincerity through my performance.”
Cast Member’s Shocking Transformation
Director Park Joon-soo emphasized the broader message behind the drama, “Today, fitness is a major trend, especially among young people. I wanted to create a story not just about working out, but about personal growth and emotional healing.”
Adding to the buzz, cast member Hong Yoon-hwa shared her inspiring real-life transformation, revealing she has lost 17 kilograms since joining the project, with a goal to lose even more in pursuit of better health.

Following a line of less successful series like Kick Kick Kick Kick and The Nation of Villains, KBS2 hopes 24-Hour Health Club will resonate with viewers seeking heartwarming yet relatable stories. “We wanted a drama that’s like a healthy, tasty meal — fun, nourishing, and memorable,” said Director Park.
24-Hour Health Club promises to offer viewers more than just comedy — it’s about believing in second chances, rebuilding yourself, and finding happiness one workout at a time. The drama premieres this Wednesday and Thursday on KBS2.
