The stars were asked if Jung felt pressured to live up to Yoo Ah-in’s previous role in the 2015 film Veteran, where he played a character named Jo Tae-oh.

“The structure of evil in this film is different from the last one, so there was no character-related pressure,” Jung answered.

“However, since the previous film was beloved by many, I did have some concerns about it,” he added. Known for his minor yet effective performances, he discussed some of the challenges of his role, such as the restrictions he faced in expressing his feelings.

“In the beginning, the direction of my gaze was important,” Jung added, “From the latter part of the film, I had to act while wearing a mask and hat, which limited my facial expressions.

I spent a lot of time thinking about how to express myself in such confined spaces.” I, the Executioner is an action-crime movie about a young detective, Park Sun-woo (played by Hae-in), who collaborates with a veteran detective, Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang) to catch a serial killer who is terrorizing the citizens of the country. The movie is scheduled to be released on September 13.

With Yoo Ah-In facing legal trouble, including two accusations and reportedly a one-year prison sentence, his character’s fate might influence Jung’s path in the cinema industry, which has been parallel so far.

The fans will see if Jung is able to prove himself as a distinctive young actor in his new upcoming film.
