Jung Woo-sung & Lee Jung-jae Have a Relationship “Beyond Marriage”?

Actors Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae once proudly showcased their deep friendship on a variety show, referring to their relationship as being “beyond common-law marriage”. With the release of Netflix’s “Squid Game 2” approaching, many are curious whether their friendship remains unaffected.

On the August 7, 2022 episode of SBS’s “Master in the House”, Jung Woo-sung discussed his 24-year-long friendship with Lee Jung-jae. When Lee Seung-gi asked “Isn’t a 24-year relationship practically a common-law marriage?”, Jung Woo-sung humorously responded, “It’s beyond a common-law marriage.”

The two are famously nicknamed the “Cheongdam Couple” due to their strong bond.

When Lee Seung-gi asked if they were aware of the nickname, Jung Woo-sung admitted, “At some point, people started calling us that.” Lee Jung-jae nodded and laughed in agreement. When others jokingly referred to Jung Woo-sung as the “dad” and Lee Jung-jae as the “mom”, both burst into laughter.

Lee Jung-jae has been in a public relationship with Im Se-ryung, Vice Chair of Daesang Group, since their dating news broke in January 2015. Reports have even emerged about Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae going on double dates with their respective partners.
