“30 Days” narrates the story of a married couple, Jung Yeol and Nara, who were in love with each other but are now on the verge of divorce. 30 days before their scheduled divorce, the couple got involved in a car accident and lost their memories.

According to a source, “30 Days” was initially considered the weakest show among the films. But the tables have turned and it is now one of the most popular movies showing in theaters and has become the word of mouth of the netizens.

According to KOFIC, “Hopeless” also known as “Hwaran” has attracted 87,710 viewers during the same period, with a cumulative audience of 787,710, which is lower than “30 Days.”

The noir movie follows the story of Yeon Gyu, a young man who wants to escape the hellish reality. He crosses paths with Chi Geon, a man in charge of middle management for an organization, and the two join forces to run away from the dangerous world.

It marks Kim Chang Hoon’s directorial movie. Ahead of its premiere, “Hopeless” was invited to the 76th Cannes Film Festival and received a standing ovation from the crowd. It was also screened at the 25th Busan International Film Festival.

Unfortunately, despite the hype and long-term promotions, Song Joong Ki’s comeback movie fell short and did not meet the audience’s expectations.
