Kim Go-eun Stuns with Short Hair at Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

On September 13 (local time), Kim Go-eun attended the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the premiere of the movie Love in the Big City. She was joined by her co-star Steve Sanghyun Noh and director E.oni.

Kim Go-eun debuted a striking new look, showcasing a short haircut unlike anything seen before. She paired her cropped hair with an elegant white dress that revealed her shoulder line, creating a chic and graceful appearance.

The film Love in the Big City, featured in the TIFF Special Presentations section, tells the story of Jae-hee (played by Kim Go-eun), a free spirit who lives without care, and Heung-soo (Steve Sanghyun Noh), who has mastered the art of distancing himself from the world. Together, they navigate their unique love story while cohabitating. The movie is based on the episode “Jae-hee” from the novel of the same name by Park Sang-young, which was a Booker Prize finalist. Kim Go-eun portrays Jae-hee, a character who transitions from a carefree college student living for the moment to a working adult grappling with more serious concerns.

Love in the Big City had its official premiere and a Q&A session with the audience at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. On September 14, a second screening and Q&A will be held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, providing further opportunities for the audience to engage with the film. The movie is set to open in theaters on October 1, a day earlier than originally planned.
