On the March 28 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,” scenes from Kim Jaejoong and his mother’s joint live appearance on KBS 1TV’s “Morning Forum” were revealed. The appearance quickly gained attention, topping the trending video rankings.
In the VCR revealed that day, Kim Jaejoong arrived at KBS early in the morning, receiving a warm send-off from his fans. In the waiting room, his mother had already arrived before him. That day marked their joint appearance on “Morning Forum.”
Feeling nervous about the live broadcast, Kim Jaejoong’s mother said, “I’m so nervous I feel like I’m going to collapse.” But when Jaejoong walked in with a bright smile, she immediately hugged him tightly and said, “Seeing you makes me feel strong,” creating a heartwarming scene. Hand in hand, the two headed to the studio. From rehearsal to the live broadcast, Jaejoong’s mother held onto his hand tightly and made it through the show by his side.
After the broadcast ended, Jaejoong asked his mother which part of the show made her the most nervous. She replied, “When we talked about your adoption,” and added, “Just thinking about it still brings me to tears.” As she brought up the difficult topic, both Jaejoong and his father encouraged her, saying, “You did well.” His mother then hugged him again and said, “No matter what anyone says, you’re my son.”
Reflecting on that moment, she recalled, “When you were little and first came to me, you called me ‘Mom, Mom,’ and then said, ‘Mom, don’t abandon me.’” Her eyes welled up as she remembered how young Jaejoong used to follow her around everywhere, filling the “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” studio with touching emotion.
