In a special pre-released video for MBC’s “Stingy Man”, released on Nov 12th, “stingy king” Kim Jong-kook finally discusses the long-standing “Kim Jong-kook 50 billion rumor”.
In the video, the “Salt Corps” answered questions from citizens, which ranged from updates on previous guests to humorous inquiries, including Kim Jong-kook’s experience wearing a thong gifted by Jung Dae-se.
However, the question that drew the most attention was, “Is the 50-billion-won story about Kim Jong-kook true?” To verify, the “Salt Corps” showered him with questions, with Jang Do-yeon asking, “Is it up or down?” Kim Jong-kook replied “It’s not true” but added “I have saved a lot”, sparking laughter.
As questions focused solely on personal curiosity about the “Salt Corps” members, regardless of savings or spending habits, Lee Joon eventually performed MBLAQ’s “Y” choreography on the spot without music. Then, following a report that Im Woo-il was spotted laughing brightly on a golf course, the “Salt Corps” members playfully criticized him, leading him to clarify actively, saying it was “free golf”.
The Q&A segment, designed to satisfy viewers’ curiosity about the “Salt Corps”, ended on a warm note, showcasing both viewers’ affectionate interest and the team’s playful chemistry.
Meanwhile, on the main broadcast of “Stingy Man” airing on Nov 13th, K-pop’s prominent composer and producer Rado, known for creating many hit songs with idols, will appear, along with rapper Uneducated Kid, who stirred Kim Jong-kook’s intense reaction with his bold flex on the pilot episode.
