As you may have noticed, I stopped updating frequently on the Kim Soo Hyun/Kim Sae Ron grooming scandal over a week ago, partially because I was busy, but also partially because a lot of it became two attention-seeking cyberwreckers flinging shit.
Fortunately, the Kim Sae Ron’s family stepped up recently to stop with the slow leak of info on the situation, holding a press conference to address her relationship with Kim Soo Hyun.
They start by establishing that the reason it’s important to prove their relationship started when she was a minor was to get at Lee Jin Ho.
The reason the family initially had no choice but to disclose the fact that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor was to file a lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who circulated false information, belittled, and mocked the late Kim Sae Ron, ultimately driving her to her death.
As a result, they provided evidence of a relationship when Kim Sae Ron was 15 and Kim Soo Hyun was 28.

If the letter Kim Soo Hyun’s agency did not deny he sent her when she was 17 wasn’t enough proof, then this certainly should be.
They also provided a conversation between Kim Sae Ron and her friend from April of 2024.

The family also revealed that Kim Sae Ron attempted suicide multiple times after getting the legal notice and denied they sought financial gain.
Additionally, the lawyer claimed that after receiving a certified legal notice from Kim Soo Hyun’s side, Kim Sae Ron attempted to take her own life multiple times due to extreme distress. The family also refuted circulating rumors that they were seeking financial gain, calling such claims baseless. They further denied allegations that Kim Sae Ron had a strained relationship with her mother, vowing legal action against the spread of false information.
In terms of other legal news, Kim Soo Hyun has filed a criminal lawsuit against Garo Sero Institute and Kim Sae Ron’s “aunt”. Later, they followed it up with charges of blackmail against Garo Sero.
They also revealed a second letter by Kim Sae Ron to contact Kim Soo Hyun after getting the second legal notice, though it went unsent.

Certainly not the words of somebody who GOLDMEDALIST claims was just being informed of a legal formality on their part as they were trying to do her a favor in avoiding a gift tax or something.
To me, the way the situation has played out over the last week or so with the focus on Kim Sae Ron’s alleged pregnancy, marriage, ex-boyfriend (disputed), best friends, friends, and whatever else was simply an attempt by GOLDMEDALIST (as was reported they would) at trying to muddy the waters around the core problem of whether Kim Soo Hyun was a groomer, and seeing what’s been produced today, it becomes understandable why they’ve been trying so hard to get her family to back down.
