On March 25, actor Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released an official statement clarifying the sudden cancellation of his upcoming fan meeting in Taiwan.
In a statement provided to OSEN, a representative explained, “Kim Soo-hyun’s brand event in Taiwan has been postponed due to safety concerns.”

The announcement came shortly after Taiwan’s 7-Eleven issued a notice on its official social media accounts, informing fans that the March 30 fan meeting, originally scheduled as part of the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival, had been canceled. The company assured that full refunds would be provided to all ticket holders.
The cancellation of Kim Soo-hyun’s Taiwan fan meeting raised eyebrows as it coincided with renewed controversy involving the late Kim Sae-ron. Her family claimed via Garo Sero that she dated Kim Soo-hyun from age 15 and was later pressured to repay 700 million KRW after her 2022 DUI. In response, Gold Medalist confirmed they dated only between summer 2019 and fall 2020, after she became an adult, and denied any coercion, explaining the payment notice was part of standard legal procedure.

Additionally, Garo Sero has released alleged evidence along with sensitive photos of Kim Soo-hyun, further fueling public debate. At the same time, new documents have surfaced suggesting that Kim Sae-ron was legally married, adding another twist to the unfolding drama. As both sides continue to make claims and counterclaims, the controversy shows no signs of slowing down.
The agency’s firm response appears to be an attempt to quell rising speculation, especially as online discussions around the case intensify amid Kim Soo-hyun’s ongoing professional activities and public appearances.
