Kim Soo Mi’s Daughter-in-Law Seo Hyo Rim Reveals Actress’ Thoughtful Gift to Ensure Her Security If Anything Goes Wrong

Following the death of the late actress Kim Soo Mi on October 25, her relationship with her daughter-in-law was once again attracting attention.

Seo Hyo Rim, her daughter-in-law who attended the funeral at Hanyang University Hospital in Seoul, had flown in from Los Angeles to see and bid farewell to her mother, saying tearfully, “Mom, don’ go” and “I’m so sorry Mom; it must have been hard.”

Kim Soo Mi, 75, went into cardiac arrest on the early morning of October 25 and had been taken to Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital until her death.

Kim was known for her good-natured personality, being a motherly figure to Seo Hyo Rim even before she married Kim’s son Jung Myung Ho in 2019.Seo and Napalkkot F&B CEO Jung Myung Ho have a daughter together.

Kim Soo Mi showered Seo with so much love during her lifetime, considering her own daughter.

Kim Lee Sung took to KBS 1TV’s Morning Forum in January and said, “I tried my best to give Seo the kind of love I received from my own mom.”

She even gave Seo a house, saying, “If things go wrong, live with the baby and I – use this estate to be safe.”It was hers to ensure that Seo always had someone to rely on.

The death of Kim comes after health issues between them. Concern was raised over her exhaustion when she needed to be hospitalized in May, and then seemed to battle to perform well during a broadcast two months later.

Kim herself calmed fans, saying in interviews that her slow speech was due to dental issues.

Family and friends of the mother’s have said her death has left a “massive hole” in their hearts, describing the late actress as the matriarch of the family.
