On the evening of the 10th, Kim Tae-hee attended the Lay Sunday homily at the Myeongdong Cathedral, part of the Archdiocese of Seoul. Despite it being her off-season, she appeared as beautiful as ever, donning a mantilla as she addressed the youth with a calm voice, sharing her story.
Kim Tae-hee began by saying, “I imagine many of you might wonder why I am standing here. It’s Sunday, so I spent the whole day at home wrestling with my kids and barely made it in time for the service.”
She continued, “I don’t have anything grand or special to say, but as a fellow believer and, humbly, a senior in faith and life, I wanted to share my personal reflections from my faith journey in a comfortable way.”
Reflecting on her life, she shared, “As many of you know, I was a diligent student, got accepted into my desired university, and was fortunate to gain popularity and experience the love of fans. Now, I have two precious daughters and a harmonious family, which was always a dream of mine.”
She added, “However, not every moment over the past 40 years has been happy and worry-free. Life has brought countless worries, conflicts, and challenges, from small, everyday conflicts to significant events that demanded resolution.”
Kim Tae-hee shared that during times when everything felt meaningless and she felt drained, she turned to her faith for strength, openly discussing her experiences as a life mentor.
It was also reported that Kim Tae-hee’s husband, Rain, and their two daughters attended the Mass with her. Rain, who converted to Catholicism after being baptized in 2014, married Kim Tae-hee in a Catholic ceremony at the church.
Kim Tae-hee married singer-actor Rain, who is two years her junior, in 2017, and they have two daughters together. In January, she confirmed her role in Amazon Prime Video’s new series Butterfly, marking her upcoming Hollywood debut.
