Lee Dong Wook is receiving love and support from fans as his new film “Single in Seoul” finally launched in cinemas last November 29. As it was different from his previous work, “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938,” which is a fantasy series, viewers were enthusiastic to see the actor again involved in a love story.

“Single in Seoul” navigates the realistic love story of a famous influencer who enjoys being single and an editor-in-chief who hates being alone. Lee Dong Wook plays the role of Young Ho, a handsome and independent public figure who crosses paths with Hyun Jin (Lim Soo Jung) whom he will work with in publishing a book.

During one of his media interviews, apart from the information and behind-the-scenes stories while working on the movie, the 42-year-old actor mentioned his next plans in acting.

Lee Dong Wook is known for his leading man image as he starred in multiple romance genre series that captivated the viewers’ interest. Throughout his years of experience in acting, the male star slowly left his comfort zone and challenged himself by trying out a variety of genres.

Lee Dong Wook explained, “As long as I do a similar role that I feel is good, I can overcome the previous one. You have to overcome it, and if you try the same role again even if it doesn’t go well, you feel like you have to do well.”

He continued, “For an actor, such a move is a burden. It also feels like I’m settling down. There are many characters and genres that I haven’t tried yet, so I will come back differently.”
