The production team of SBS’s upcoming drama The Fiery Priest Season 2 has released the first stills of actress Lee Ha Nee.
The Fiery Priest Season 2 is a comic investigation drama that follows hot-blooded, justice-driven priest Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) as he heads to Busan to battle against the nation’s biggest drug cartel.
Just like in Season 1, Lee Ha Nee comes as Park Gyeong Sun, Kim Hae Il’s (Kim Nam Gil) ally. Park Gyeong Sun heads to Busan to assist Kim Hae Il on his mission, serving as a black prosecutor fighting for justice.
Dressed in all-black and wearing sunglasses, Park Gyeong Sun commands attention as she walks in style with her trench coat fluttering.
In another still, she is shown seriously investigating. Busy with work.
Lee Ha Nee expressed her feelings about joining Season 2, saying, “I’m so happy, touched, and grateful to be able to shoot again.”
She continued, “In Season 1, Park Gyeong Sun started off as a corrupt prosecutor and transformed into a righteous prosecutor after meeting Father Kim Hae Il. In Season 2, she will become a strong ally to him.”
Lee Ha Nee added, “In the past, Gyeong Sun had nothing but sheer grit when it came to physical fights, but in Season 2, she’ll have a kind of action? Movement? You could say she’ll have a new weapon, so I think there’ll be more to see.”
When asked about the vibe on The Fiery Priest Season 2 set, Lee Ha Nee responded, “After Season 1 ended, I kept in touch with the director and fellow actors, and we met occasionally, so reuniting on set after five years didn’t feel new. Of course, there were some characters I was seeing for the first time, but it felt like I was seeing people I had just met yesterday, so much so that the time I had spent there didn’t seem to matter. And from the very first scene on the first day, it felt like we were filming a continuation of Season 1, so it was good.”
The production team stated, “Lee Ha Nee is a treasure on set, possessing both gentle charisma and a lively spirit. Please pay attention to the diverse activities of Park Gyeong Sun, now back as a totally good person.”
