On the 11th, a video titled “Kim Bum-soo’s I Miss You [Guest: Lee Sang-soon] – Beginner Boss Kim Bum-soo Serves You Personal Coffee” was uploaded to Kim Bum-soo’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Kim Bum-soo asked Lee Sang-soon, “Is it okay to talk about this already?” He continued, “How long will you continue living in Jeju? I heard you have plans to move back to Seoul.”
Lee Sang-soon responded, “Sometime after fall,” indicating that they plan to return to Seoul later this year.
When Kim Bum-soo asked if this decision was official, Lee Sang-soon laughed and said, “I’ve mentioned it to people here and there.” Kim Bum-soo then added with a smile, “Everyone seems to know already. They’re all saying, ‘Sang-soon is moving back to Seoul.’”
Lee Sang-soon further explained, “We’ve found a house in Seoul and are currently working on the interior.”
Kim Bum-soo asked, “After living in Jeju for 11 years, what prompted you to suddenly decide to move back to Seoul?”
Lee Sang-soon replied, “Both Hyori and I thought it was time to return to our roots and focus on our main work. We wanted to live our lives more earnestly.”
Kim Bum-soo commented, “Usually, people enjoy city life when they’re young and then retire to the countryside or rural areas as they age. Isn’t this the opposite?”
Lee Sang-soon agreed, saying, “Living in Jeju and working hard there is great, but it’s also very challenging. There’s so much to do. People dream of living in a countryside home, but…” Kim Bum-soo interjected, “There’s never a moment of peace, is there?”
Lee Sang-soon continued, “There’s so much to manage outside the house. I have to constantly cut the grass. At one point, we had 6 or 7 dogs and cats. Even now, we have five. Taking care of them and living this kind of life in the countryside while we’re still young—I think it’s a good thing we had that experience.”
He added, “When we move to Seoul, we plan to enjoy everything the city has to offer, like ordering delivery all the time. We’re also looking forward to meeting up with friends like Bum-soo, Seok-yi, and other musicians. I’m excited about the possibility of working together on projects.”
Kim Bum-soo joked, “Once we start hanging out, we could play all day.”
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-soon and Lee Hyori got married in 2013. After their marriage, they lived in Jeju and continued their broadcasting activities. Lee Hyori even earned the nickname “Sogil-dae” and starred in the hit show “Hyori’s Homestay,” which documented their life in Jeju.
