Lisa Confirms BLACKPINK’s Album Release: In the Studio Just a Few Days Ago

Recently, US media outlet Variety published their interview with BLACKPINK’s Lisa. Here, the female idol teased new music from the group. 

“Actually, we were in the studio a few days ago,” Lisa told Variety on May 3, adding, “We’re all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We (BLACKPINK members) really miss the Blinks (fans of BLACKPINK). We can’t wait to see them.”

Then, regarding speculations about the possible release of a new album coinciding with the tour, Lisa confirms the wait may soon be coming to an end, stating, “You have to be patient about it. It’s coming soon, I promise. It’s about time.”

In fact, it was previously reported that BLACKPINK will be dropping a new album in June 2025, before embarking on a world tour in July, with members adjusting their personal schedules to ensure the time. 

Additionally, Lisa, who appeared on the 3rd season of HBO series “The White Lotus” and earned praised for her acting performance, mentioned the possibility of returning in another season. “People want to see more of Mook. I would love to if I had the chance, but I don’t want to pressure anyone”, she said.

On the other hand, Lisa recently drew attention for her performance at the 2025 Coachella, before dropping a global collaboration with Maroon 5.
