Lisa’s Fan Meeting Fails to Sell Out in Indonesia and Singapore

Regarded as one of the top female soloists in K-pop and the strongest in the Southeast Asian market, Lisa has surprisingly failed to sell out tickets in these two countries. In fact, on the first day of ticket sales in Singapore, only 15% of the tickets were sold.

In Indonesia, which has a large fanbase and is considered her second home, less than half of the tickets were sold after three days of sales. CNN Indonesia even reported on the unsold tickets.

One comment that garnered over 20,000 likes noted that the price was too high compared to just attending to hear Lisa’s backtrack and lip-sync.

In comparison, Suga from BTS has a much better track record for selling out tickets. Even compared to other female soloists like Taeyeon and IU, Lisa’s ticket sales are significantly lower.

In September, the youngest member of BLACKPINK, Lisa, announced Asia fan meeting tour scheduled for mid-November. The event series is called “Fan Meetup.” The information was shared by her management company, LLOUD.

According to the announced schedule, Lisa’s fan meeting tour will make stops in five provinces/cities across Asia. The tour will kick off on November 11 in Singapore, then continue to Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China), and conclude in Hong Kong (China) on November 19.

Lisa’s fan meeting tour “Fan Meetup” marks a new milestone in her solo career. This is the first tour for the female idol. She is also the first member of BLACKPINK to hold a global fan meeting tour after eight years of activity.
