Love Your Enemy Episode 10 Recap

Yun Jiwon panics when she sees her ex-CEO, Mr. Jeong, and runs away, overwhelmed by memories of her past. From a distance, she spots Seok Jiwon sitting in the playground, waiting for her. With her thoughts clouded, she decides to cancel their date, texting him that she has a headache.

Seok Jiwon feels disheartened, as he had planned to propose that evening. However, he resolves to try again another day. The next morning, Jae-ho and Mun-su grow concerned when Yun Jiwon stays in her room unusually long. Just as they decide to check on her, she emerges, putting on a calm façade as she heads to school.

At the staff room, the vice principal mentions Jeong Yul’s parent, who happens to be none other than Yun Jiwon’s ex-CEO, Mr. Jeong. He requests Yun Jiwon to address Mr. Jeong’s complaints about his daughter’s fight with Hae-su. However, Yun Jiwon knows his real reason for being at the school has little to do with his daughter. Sensing her discomfort, Mun-su quickly changes the subject and takes her to the gym to focus on work.

At the gym, Mun-su brings up the previous night and asks if Mr. Jeong is the CEO she once mentioned during their conversation at the hospital. When she silently confirms, Mun-su insists on accompanying her if she plans to meet him. Before they can continue, Seok Jiwon enters, curious about Mun-su’s remark. Yun Jiwon quickly pulls Seok Jiwon aside, chiding him gently for being overly affectionate in public. They reschedule their cancelled date for another day.

Elsewhere, Kyung-hoon overhears Ki-ha discussing the missing funds and appears visibly uneasy.

At school, Mun-su persuades Yun Jiwon to rest, offering to handle her class. Around the same time, Seok Jiwon notices Mr. Jeong attempting to contact Yun Jiwon. A flashback reveals a younger Seok Jiwon protecting Yun Jiwon from Mr. Jeong’s cruelty, resulting in a physical altercation. Angered by the memories, Seok Jiwon calls Mr. Jeong and the vice principal to his office, warning them to address any concerns through him instead of disturbing the teachers. Furious, Mr. Jeong storms out.

Soon after, Yun Jiwon texts Seok Jiwon, asking him to meet her on the rooftop. Alarmed, he rushes to her, his relief palpable when he finds her safe. He hugs her tightly, recalling the night he saved her at the hospital. Confused by his reaction, Yun Jiwon points to the other side of the rooftop, sparking another flashback.

The rooftop had once been their secret refuge during their school days. In the present, Yun Jiwon shows Seok Jiwon her old college admission essay, filled with fiery passion. Inspired, Seok Jiwon encourages her to reclaim her fearless spirit. She hesitantly admits that, back in those days, she longed for him. Seok Jiwon then reveals that he was the one who saved her that fateful night. Overwhelmed, Yun Jiwon embraces him, their bond deepening.

That evening, as planned, Yun Jiwon and Seok Jiwon prepare for their rescheduled date, only for Jae-ho to interrupt, requesting a ride home. Later, at home, Yun Jiwon confesses her feelings for Seok Jiwon to her grandfather, who surprises her with his acceptance. However, he sets firm boundaries, cautioning them against spending the night together without others present. During a quiet moment, Seok Jiwon and Jae-ho share a heartfelt conversation, expressing their shared love for Yun Jiwon.

Meanwhile, Kyung-hoon meets with a councillor about the golf course project. It becomes clear that Kyung-hoon stands to profit significantly if the project succeeds, and the audience begins to piece together his role in Yun Jiwon’s late father’s downfall. The next day, Yun Jiwon decides to confront Mr. Jeong. Before their meeting, she overhears a heated argument between him and his daughter Yul, who despises him for his predatory behaviour. Emboldened, Yun Jiwon faces Mr. Jeong in a meeting room, calling out his hypocrisy and his daughter’s resentment. He escorts Yun Jiwon out as two staff members, who overheard the confrontation, ridicule Mr. Jeong. At the same time, Su-a and Tae-o have a conversation about the other day and they sort it out. Yul learns that Tae-o is Hae-su’s father and regrets her actions. In the classroom, Yumi, Yul and Ki-seok explain to the classmates that the photo of Hae-su and Tae-o is edited. When Hae-su enters the classroom, she and Ki-seok exchange glances showing that they’re interested in each other.

Later, Seok Jiwon plans a romantic proposal but realizes he left the ring box at home. They rush back, only to find Jae-ho arriving unexpectedly. Seok Jiwon hides in the attic, where Yun Jiwon finds him rehearsing nervously. She already knows about the proposal, having discovered the ring box earlier, but she lets him proceed. Seok Jiwon pours out his feelings and proposes, and Yun Jiwon accepts without hesitation. The episode concludes with the newly engaged couple sharing a tender kiss in the attic, their love stronger than ever.
