There is a new K-Drama titled Love Your Enemy, and viewers are expressing significant backlash over its controversial second female lead, Cha Ji Hye, played by Kim Ye Won.
The series, which recently premiered, focuses on childhood rivals who reconnect years later as employees at the school they attended together.
The two leads, Seok Ji Won and Yoon Ji Won are played by Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi.
As the narrative unfolds its threads, Ji Hye, a teacher at the school and childhood friend of both leads, is a source of real frustration for fans.
After Episode 6 premiered on Dec. 8, viewers bemoaned Ji Hye’s character, calling her manipulative and duplicitous.
Critics say her interference in the lives of the leads has not only created ill will but also resulted in an event that ultimately broke them apart 18 years ago.
