Min Hee-jin May Lose Her House Amid Sexual Harassment Cover Up Allegations

On September 11, Min Hee-jin received notification from a Seoul court about a provisional attachment of her home in Yeonnam-dong for 100 million KRW (approx 71,000 USD).

According to TenAsia, the creditor is a former ADOR employee identified as “A,” who filed complaints against Min Hee-jin in August, accusing her of defamation and violating the Personal Information Protection Act. A also filed labor violation complaints against Min and ADOR’s deputy CEO “B” with the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The provisional attachment stems from a civil lawsuit filed by A, seeking 100 million KRW in damages for alleged defamation by Min Hee-jin. A legal source explained that the attachment was made to secure assets in the event of a ruling favoring A in the civil lawsuit.

A had previously accused Deputy CEO B of sexual harassment, claiming Min Hee-jin tried to cover up the incident to protect B, leading to further accusations against Min Hee-jin for defamation.

On the other hand, Min Hee-jin spoke about her financial situation at the “2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel” event, mentioning, “The legal fees are around 2.3 billion KRW (approx. 1.6 million USD), so I may have to sell my house. But I’m grateful I had it. If I didn’t have money, I wouldn’t have been able to fight. I was really thankful that I didn’t have a husband or children, and I was also thankful that my parents were doing well.”

Legal experts suggest Min Hee-jin’s comments may have influenced the court’s decision, meeting the requirements for a provisional attachment, which is intended to prevent the debtor from disposing of assets and obstructing future compensation if the creditor wins the lawsuit.
