A drama insider told JTBC Enter News on Oct 4th, “Moon Ga-young will take on the lead role in the new drama ‘Seocho-dong’, playing the character Kang Hee-ji.” Moon Ga-young’s agency Peak J responded, “We are positively reviewing the offer.“
“Seocho-dong” centers around the lives of lawyers working at law firms. Moon Ga-young‘s character, Kang Hee-ji, is a second-year lawyer at Johwa Law Firm. She lives by the belief that “changing one person’s life means changing their world”. Kang Hee-ji is portrayed as a confident, honest and straightforward character, and with Moon Ga-young’s natural charm, the character is expected to be even more compelling.
It was previously reported that actor Lee Jong-suk was offered the role of Ahn Joo-hyung, a ninth-year lawyer at Kyungmin Law Firm, and is currently considering the role. Director Park Seung-woo, known for directing MBC’s drama “W”, will helm the production, raising anticipation for the synergy between Moon Ga-young, Lee Jong-suk and the director.
“Seocho-dong” is set to air next year.
