On December 11, actress Moon Geun-young wrote, “I guess I still haven’t been able to let my sister go. There’s so much I couldn’t do for her, and I have many regrets and lingering feelings.”
She added, “I miss you so much. I feel so sorry and really, really apologize.”
In her heartfelt message, she continued, “Stay happy and have fun with Grandma! When the time comes, I’ll join you. Until then, I’ll try to live with even more strength, doing my best for both of us.”
She concluded with, “I love you so much, I’m grateful, and I love you. I really, really miss you.”
Moon Geun-young is the eldest daughter in her family, with one younger sister. It appears that her older sister, with whom she shared a close relationship, has passed away.
Moon Geun-young debuted in the 1999 film “On The Way” and gained immense popularity for her role in the 2004 movie “My Little Bride”, where her exceptional acting and lovely charm earned her the title “Nation’s Little Sister”.
She continued to captivate viewers with successful projects like “Love Me Not” (2006), “Painter of the Wind” (2008) and “Cinderella’s Stepsister” (2010). Recently, she played Ms. Sunshine in Netflix’s series “Hellbound” Season 2, which was released in October.
In 2017, Moon Geun-young was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome, a condition in which increased pressure within muscle compartments reduces blood flow, potentially causing severe pain, paralysis or nerve damage. She underwent surgeries to treat the condition.
Addressing her health, Moon Geun-young shared an update on her SNS on October 21, stating, “Many people seem to be concerned about my health. I’m completely healed now and very healthy. Although I’ve gained a little weight, I’m working on my diet. Instead of worrying about my health, please cheer for my successful diet!“
