At noon on October 21, G-Dragon updated a new photo on the account created for fans – fanplusonedotcom, with the caption “BEYOND-BLACK #HIDDENGEM.” At first glance, few people noticed because G-Dragon’s new photo was just a plain black image. The surprise is that when the brightness is turned all the way up, the words “Loading… Progress 10%” appear (Only 10% complete). With just a simple post like that, G-Dragon had fans screaming in excitement.
Earlier, according to News1 on the 8th, G-Dragon has finalized his solo return date for the 25th and is currently in the final stages of preparation. This will be G-Dragon’s first solo album release in over seven years since his second mini album, Kwon Ji Yong, which was released in June 2017.
However, representative from G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, told MK Sports on the afternoon of the 8th, “We are currently adjusting the date related to the comeback. Nothing has been confirmed regarding the solo comeback on the 25th,” they officially stated.
G-Dragon surprised fans by appearing as a special guest at Taeyang’s solo concert last month, where he performed on stage for the first time in a while, further increasing anticipation for his comeback as a representative artist in the K-pop scene.
Earlier this month, he completed filming for tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, and it is expected that he will discuss his new music during the broadcast.
Besides, G-Dragon is scheduled to perform with Big Bang alongside Taeyang and Daesung at the Mnet Mama Awards taking place in Japan on November 22nd and 23rd.
On the other hand, on August 18, G-Dragon’s birthday, a new Instagram account named ‘fanplusonedotcom‘ was created. This account is a special gift from G-Dragon to his fans on his special day, celebrating his birthday with them.
Earlier, the artist’s management company had hinted that G-Dragon would make a comeback in the latter half of 2024. However, as of now, there has been no official announcement regarding his return schedule.
