Mukbang Star BTS’ Jin To Start Liquor Venture With Celebrity Chef Baek Jong Won

BTS’ Jin, known for his all-consuming eating habits and mukbang vlogs, has taken his talents to the food and drink industry.

He has partnered with celebrity chef Baek Jong Won — CEO of The Born Korea, a restaurant franchise — becoming the first BTS member to open an independent business.

The two joined hands to co-invest in a new agricultural corporation called Yesan Doga to launch an upcoming distilled spirit, “IJIN,’ as reported by News1.

The traditional liquor will incorporate notes reminiscent of Won’s hometown of Yesan in South Chungcheong Province.

On top of distilled liquor offerings, the brand anticipates selling ready-to-drink fruity options, including watermelon, apple, and plum varieties.

The duo has previously promoted traditional Korean liquors in an episode of BangtanTV, hosted on the group’s YouTube channel.

They’ve also enlisted the help of Master Park Rok Dam, who is regarded as the “godfather” of Korean traditional liquor. Dam will serve as an advisor to develop the brand’s identity and elevate product quality.

While fans are undoubtedly in high spirits over Jin’s new business ventures, his label, Big Hit, remains mum on the topic.

“We ask for your understanding that we cannot confirm this matter,” “a representative from Big Hit Music told Maeil Business Star Today.

Jin, who kicked off his solo career with his debut album “Happy,” has kept fans busy on the musical front with appearances on shows like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, a show he previously attended with fellow bandmates.
