My Dearest Nemesis Episode 7 Recap

Su-jeong’s evening takes an unexpected turn when she receives a call from Ju-yeon while walking through the mall with her date. The conversation is brief—Ju-yeon asks where she is, she answers, and he promptly hangs up. Confused, she brushes it off, only to be ambushed minutes later when Ju-yeon, dressed in his personal disguise, pulls her into a dressing room.
Her heart practically leaps out of her chest as he finally drops a bombshell: he remembers the kiss. They stand there in stunned silence until a store employee begins pounding on the door, demanding to know why it’s locked. Thinking quickly, Su-jeong steps out, pretending she was just adjusting her outfit, and skillfully distracts everyone so Ju-yeon can make a clean getaway.

After successfully covering for him, she bids her date goodbye—though not without Ju-yeon interrupting in his full director mode, pulling her away under the excuse of work. Once outside, he lays it all out: the kiss wasn’t a mistake for him. Su-jeong, overwhelmed and completely unprepared for this moment, takes the first escape route she can—answering an incoming call from Ha-jin and making a run for it. She ends up at Ha-jin’s restaurant, staring blankly at her food, wondering how her life became this chaotic.
That night, just as she thinks she might get a moment of peace, Ju-yeon starts sending her playful texts, making her laugh before she suddenly realizes—she’s giggling over a message from a younger guy. Mortified, she swears off texting him back. But avoidance proves to be a losing game when she gets to work the next day.

She goes out of her way to dodge Ju-yeon, making every effort not to be alone with him. But her plans come crashing down when she stumbles upon an article announcing his official position as the successor of Yongsung. The weight of reality settles in—liking him is nothing short of disastrous. Determined to keep her feelings buried, she makes one final attempt to put distance between them. But Ju-yeon, as always, refuses to be ignored.
Cornered on the office staircase, Su-jeong finally spells it out for him: they are nothing more than boss and subordinate. Holding hands in public? Out of the question. Their worlds are too different. For the first time, Ju-yeon has no comeback. He lets her walk away, but the moment lingers between them, unresolved.

Meanwhile, Sin-won finds himself helplessly drawn to Ha-jin. He tries to stay away, convincing himself that she’d be uncomfortable if he stuck around. But every day, he still finds himself watching her from afar as she works at her restaurant. What he doesn’t realize is that Ha-jin misses him too.
Back at work, Ju-yeon overhears Su-jeong talking about meeting someone at a restaurant. His mind instantly jumps to the worst-case scenario—another date. Fueled by misplaced jealousy, he shows up at the restaurant, only to witness Su-jeong sitting with a younger man. Before he can make a dramatic scene, he learns the truth: the so-called mystery man is her younger brother, and their family is meeting his girlfriend.

Relieved but still on edge, Ju-yeon finds himself face-to-face with Su-jeong’s brother, who doesn’t hesitate to grill him. Without mincing words, he warns Ju-yeon that Su-jeong is precious to their family and that any funny business won’t be tolerated. Ju-yeon, without a hint of hesitation, assures him that he’s serious about her.
Later, away from prying eyes, Ju-yeon and Su-jeong steal a quiet moment together. He admits that his biggest fear was that she might be meeting another man. Just as the tension between them threatens to bubble over, his phone rings—his secretary delivers some alarming news. His grandmother, the formidable chairwoman, is making an unexpected visit to his home. Pure panic sets in as Ju-yeon realizes his personal study room—a shrine to his secret love of toys—is completely exposed. If his grandmother sees it, disaster is inevitable.

Thinking fast, Su-jeong steps in with a plan. Sin-won buys them a little time by sweet-talking the chairwoman, though his efforts ultimately fall flat. Luckily, Ha-jin jumps into action, strategically parking her truck in the middle of the road to delay the chairwoman’s arrival. Meanwhile, Ju-yeon and Su-jeong scramble to transfer all of his precious collectibles to her home. But time isn’t on their side. When the clock runs out, there are still a few items left in the study. With no other option, Ju-yeon makes a bold decision—Su-jeong has to stay hidden inside the room.
The chairwoman arrives, sharp-eyed and unimpressed. As she scrutinizes every corner of the apartment, she inches dangerously close to the secret door. But then, she notices something else—an old photo frame. The moment she lays eyes on it, her composure cracks. In a flash, her anger explodes. She lashes out, blaming Ju-yeon for his parents’ deaths. In a fit of rage, she hurls the frame to the ground before storming out, leaving behind a shattered Ju-yeon. Hidden inside, Su-jeong hears everything.

When the coast is clear, she steps out and finds Ju-yeon reeling from the encounter. He finally opens up, revealing the deep wounds he’s carried for years. The accident that took his family left him with nothing but his love for toys—a passion that, until now, only she had ever validated. In that moment, Su-jeong’s heart aches for him. She reassures him that she meant every word she ever said. But despite everything, she still doesn’t have an answer for his feelings. With her emotions in turmoil, she leaves.
The next day, Ju-yeon lingers on her mind, occupying her every thought. No longer able to ignore it, she makes her way to his home—only to find he isn’t there. Remembering the place where they once had a conversation about pursuing what makes you happy, she heads there. Sure enough, she finds him, lost in thought. She lays it all out—liking him will only bring complications, considering his status. But Ju-yeon doesn’t waver. As long as she likes him, nothing else matters.

And finally, she gives in. She confesses her feelings, admitting that she, too, has fallen for him. But she knows the risks. She knows that their relationship can never be public. With a teasing smile, she declares that she’s willing to be his biggest secret. With that, they share a passionate kiss, sealing the beginning of something undeniably messy but irresistibly thrilling.
As the episode wraps up, the camera pans over to a seemingly insignificant box at Su-jeong’s place, labeled “Black Dragon.” Little does she know, buried inside that box is a secret that could change everything. When she finally connects the dots—that Ju-yeon is the very person she once considered an enemy—what will she do? And what will he do when he realizes the same?

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 7 Review
From Ju-yeon dramatically pulling Su-jeong into a dressing room to his equally dramatic realization that he actually remembers their kiss, every moment was pure gold. Su-jeong’s frantic attempts to avoid him, only to be dragged back into his orbit at every turn, had us giggling and screaming in equal measure. And let’s not forget the sheer pettiness of Ju-yeon showing up at a restaurant just to make sure she wasn’t on a date—classic jealous male lead behaviour, and we love to see it!

But the real heart of the episode came when Ju-yeon’s secret childhood trauma was revealed, giving us a deeper look at why he clings so tightly to his passions. Su-jeong, despite her own internal battle, was there for him in the most unexpected yet heartfelt way, making their eventual confession scene all the more satisfying. And that final moment—the kiss, the hidden identity twist, the lingering question of what happens next—perfection! With tension, humour, and just the right amount of angst, this episode delivered everything we could hope for in a romance drama. Now, bring on the next episode, because we need answers!
