On the morning of September 17th, Danielle shared a message through NewJeans‘ official account, saying, “To our always-appreciated Bunnies~ I hope you can set aside your worries for a while and enjoy a joyful and warm time with your loved ones this Chuseok.“
She added “I love you, Bunnies” along with some photos.
The released photos are behind-the-scenes shots from NewJeans members’ Chuseok-themed hanbok photoshoot, which was first revealed through NewJeans’ official account on September 13th. In the photos, Danielle is seen dressed in a beautiful traditional Korean hanbok, showcasing her unique charm.
On that day, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin also shared the hanbok photoshoot of NewJeans members through her official account, expressing her deep affection for them.
Meanwhile, ADOR’s parent company HYBE filed a lawsuit against Min Hee-jin on April 25th, accusing her of breach of trust and other charges. On August 27th, HYBE appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO of ADOR.
With this, Min Hee-jin lost her management rights, just 2 years and 9 months after being appointed as ADOR’s CEO in November 2021. Min Hee-jin has claimed that she was unilaterally dismissed, while HYBE insists that the CEO replacement followed legal procedures. On September 13th, Min Hee-jin filed for an injunction at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, requesting the convening of a temporary shareholders’ meeting and her reappointment as an internal director at ADOR. The court’s decision is highly anticipated.
On September 11th, NewJeans (Minji, Hyein, Haerin, Danielle, Hanni) held an emergency live broadcast, reaffirming their desire to continue their activities as artists under ADOR, led by Min Hee-jin.
During the broadcast, Danielle stated, “We just want ADOR to be returned to how it was. We’re not asking anyone to do anything more. Everyone just needs to do their jobs well in their respective roles. We sincerely hope our request is heard. From a human perspective, we hope HYBE stops tormenting our CEO Min Hee-jin. Honestly, it’s sad to see her in such a situation, and it makes HYBE look like a heartless company. What can we possibly learn from a company like this?“
Minji added, “What we want is the original ADOR where CEO Min Hee-jin oversees both management and production. Making this request now is a way to avoid conflict and coexist peacefully with HYBE.“
