On December 22, Minji expressed her gratitude to fans through NewJeans’ new SNS, “Thank you always, Bunnies.”
Minji participated in the pre-recording for MBC’s “Gayo Daejejeon” stage performance earlier that day. After the recording, she said, “Today’s recording was long, and it must have been cold, but I’m so thankful to the Bunnies who stayed strong and cheered us on until the end. Every stage with Bunnies is memorable, but today feels like one I’ll remember for a long time.”
She added “Thank you always, Bunnies. You’re all so cute and kind”, expressing her affection for the fans who consistently support the group.
Additionally, Minji subtly hid the phrase “I’ll cry later when I can cry comfortably” in faint white text on the roof of the performance venue.
On November 28, NewJeans held an urgent press conference in Gangnam, Seoul, where they announced their termination of exclusive contracts with HYBE and ADOR, declaring their intent for independent activities. Recently, they launched a new Instagram account, “jeanzforfree”, to actively engage with fans. Meanwhile, ADOR has contested the group’s announcement, claiming the contracts are still valid and has filed a lawsuit to affirm their validity.
